NAMI Illinois has a variety of educational resources for individuals living with mental illness and for their family members or supporters. We offer three NAMI-based classes and one program. See below for more information and sign up here to find out how to join a class.
NAMI Basics
A free six-week group education program for parents and family caregivers of children and teens who are experiencing symptoms of a mental illness or who have already been diagnosed.
NAMI Family-to-Family
A free 8-session educational program for family, significant others, and friends of people living with mental illness.
NAMI Peer-to-Peer
A free 10-session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and help in their journey toward recovery.
NAMI Friends and Family
A free 10-session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and help in their journey toward recovery.
NAMI Homefront
NAMI Homefront is a class for families, partners, and friends of military service members and veterans experiencing a mental health challenge. The course is designed specifically to help these families understand those challenges and improve the ability of participants to support their service member or veteran.
